The National Duals is wrestled over the Memorial Day holiday weekend. This is an opportunity to determine the best club/state teams in the country for the elementary, middle school, and high school divisions. The National Wrestling Duals is the largest dual meet, team event in the history of scholastic wrestling. Last year, 108 teams, with 1,900 individual wrestlers representing 21 states competed in this event. It is an honor to represent your club or state and compete in "The Battle at the Beach". State Champions will go through this event and not win one match! The competition is intense. Participants from the top 4 place finishing teams will be officially declared All-American Team Members.
DEADLINE FOR ALL TEAM ENTRIES IS MAY 18, 2010
Teams will be granted admission on a first come-first serve basis. Teams will be battling for the national title makes this the largest dual meet event in America.

Eligibility - Each club or state team is encouraged to represent 3 divisions

High School - Grades 9-12, 3 lb. allowance, 103, 112, 119, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 152, 160, 171, 189, 215, 285
Middle School - Grades 6*-8, 2 lb. allowance, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 112, 119, 127, 135, 142, 154, 165, 180, 230
Elementary School - Grades 4-6*, 1 lb. allowance, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 112, 119, 125, 132, 160
* 6th grade eligibility: 6th graders can determine which division they wish to wrestle. You can only wrestle in one division throughout the event.

Cost - $700 per team.
Each team may have a maximum of 18 wrestlers, 14 starters and 4 reserves.
(This is an average of $40 per wrestler for a team of 18 wrestlers)
Please note: If you want to bring additional alternates, above 18 wrestlers, the fee is $40 per additional wrestler and we suggest that you try to place the athlete on a team that has an incomplete roster. This can be done at our mandatory meeting prior to the start of the event.
**There is a $100 deposit required for each team that is entered. The $600 balance is due 10 days prior to the event. Your team roster is due by May 18th. If your roster is not online by this time, a $50.00 penalty will ensue. This issues will be enforced for the 2010 NHSCA National Duals.
Between May 23rd and Registration, you will need to provide email addresses for your Roster. If is not received by 6 p.m. Friday evening, you will have to complete prior to weigh-ins.
Table workers
Each team is responsible for their own table worker. He or she will receive free entry into the event. Only 1 table worker per team can be submitted. Please send these names by May 23rd to Mattie .

If you plan on coaching at this event, you must be a 2009-2010 member.

Format
Championship tournament format with complete consolation rounds. Each team is guaranteed 7 matches. Challenge matches will be offered at a cost of $50 per team, after the 7 guaranteed matches.

CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA, SHORE THING WHITE, RENEGADE FORCE WIN TITLES IN 10TH ANNUAL NHSCA NATIONAL WRESTLING DUALS, EAST COAST
EASTON, PA - Pennsylvania's Renegade Force took the High School Division title, with Shore Thing White of New Jersey taking the Middle School Division title and Central Pennsylvania the Elementary Division crown in the 10th annual National High School Coaches Association (NHSCA) East Coast National Wrestling Duals May 22-25 at the Wicomico Youth Civic Center in Salisbury, MD.
The scholastic-style team event was contested for wrestlers in three age groups: the High School Division (grades 9-12), the Middle School Division (grades 7-9) and the Elementary Division (grades 4-6). The event attracted a total of 112 teams.
Renegade Force, which took the Middle School Division crown last year, outscored three bracket opponents by an average 47-18 score after winning its pool competition. They included victories of 48-10 over Dream in the quarterfinals, Team Illinois 47-21 in the semifinals and the SV River Boys 46-24 for the title. Illinois took third place in the division with a 46-27 victory over Michigan Addix.
"The level of competition at this year's National Wrestling Duals was the best yet," NHSCA executive director Bob Ferraro Jr. said. "The bracket round was outstanding. Every match had everybody on the edge of their seat. The matches were outstanding in all three divisions."
Shore Thing White had to win four bracket matches to take the Middle School Division crown. The only close match of the four was a 34-30 semifinal victory over Southeast Pennsylvania Blue, which dethroned defending champion Renegade Force 33-18 in the quarterfinals. Shore Thing White advanced to the semifinals with victories of 37-9 over All Business and 43-9 over Virginia Thunder, and beat Young Guns 47-12 in the title match. Young Guns advanced to the finals with a pair of nail-biting wins, 26-25 over two-time defending High School Division champion Pennsylvania Diesel and by criteria over Wayne after the two teams tied 20-20. Wayne took third place with a 37-15 victory over Southeast Pennsylvania Blue.
Central Pennsylvania took the Elementary Division with three bracket wins, 41-30 over Weaver Elite in the quarterfinals, 42-15 over Flor Heatwave in the semifinals and 32-25 over Illinois Outsiders in the title match. Southeast Pennsylvania Blue, which fell 37-28 to Illinois Outsiders in the other semifinal, beat Flor Heatwave 45-16 to claim third place.
